Bel Air Textile is a place where past and future intertwine, breathing new life into an industrial heritage rich with stories. Designed as a dynamic third-place, it fosters the rebirth of the textile industry by uniting innovation and tradition under one roof.

This vast, renovated space is more than just a workplace—it is a stage for craftsmanship, creativity, and exchange. Entrepreneurs, artisans, and designers come together, shaping the textile landscape of tomorrow while honoring the legacy of those who paved the way.

From its modular wooden platform encouraging collaboration to immersive artistic installations that play with light and material, every element is a tribute to the industry’s ingenuity. Bel Air Textile stands as a testament to transmission, where history is not only preserved but reinvented, woven into the fabric of the future.

Les jeux de volumes jouent avec la perspective, en transformant la faible hauteur sous plafond en une dynamique fluide et immersive, accentuée par la couleur pop du jaune.

SPATIAL TRANSFORMATION

Fostering Community

Through Transformative Interior Design

Celebrating Craft

Through Light and Form

Two site-specific installations blend upcycled textiles, light, and transparency. These immersive pieces reinterpret heritage through spatial poetry—where material and illumination become tools of contemporary interior expression.

Uniting Through a Joyful Space

with Spatial Storytelling

A modular platform anchors the design, enhancing spatial clarity and interaction. Vibrant yellow tones and dynamic forms create a lively, community-driven atmosphere, blending storytelling with purposeful design.

Guiding Experience Through

Narrative Signage

I developed a cohesive environmental signage system: a large backlit facade sign, textile-inspired floor markings, and playful visual cues guide visitors while reinforcing the site's narrative identity.

THREADS OF LIGHT

Where Fabric Meets Architecture

I crafted two monumental installations for Bel Air Textile, merging architecture with local craftsmanship. In collaboration with artist @AxelleFernandez_, we integrated light as a core element.

The first structure, an ethereal assembly of upcycled fabric, filters natural light to create a dynamic, ever-changing kaleidoscopic effect. The second, a striking thread sculpture, interacts with glass to manipulate transparency and reflection, transforming with the light and immersing visitors in a sensory dialogue between material and environment. These installations celebrate textile heritage, offering a contemporary, sustainable reinterpretation.

Budget Management & Project Coordination

I managed the entire budget of €82,000, covering:
— 6 meeting rooms (6–10 people)
— A manager’s office (2 people)
— A 34-seat kitchen
— A coworking space (26 people)
— 2 showers (including 1 accessible)
— Common areas with lockers and repro zone
— A convivial central area (platform, foosball, lounge)

Each package—custom joinery, furniture, kitchen, finishes, tech, scenography, signage—included product sourcing, supplier negotiation, professional installation, and on-site validation.

I led all phases: design choices, cost optimization, coordination, and delivery—ensuring a coherent, functional and budget-respectful transformation.
